Public finance researchers are invited to submit unpublished research works that analyze topics from fiscal decentralization and subnational financing to environmental sustainability and climate change for the Ibero-American Conference on Local Financing (X-JIFL). Over 120 research papers have been presented since the first conference held in 2011. This year’s conference marks the joint initiative’s tenth anniversary and is slated for September 1-2, 2021, at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) headquarters.
This year’s event is organized by the Ibero-American Association for Local Financing (AIFIL), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Fiscal Management Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and ICePP. Those interested in presenting papers should send a summary up to five pages long, to: the Association at [email protected], Javier Suárez Pandiello ([email protected]); Huáscar Eguino ([email protected]); Noel Perez ([email protected]); and Jorge Martínez-Vázquez ([email protected]). A maximum of 12 research proposals will be selected. All submissions must be received by May 21, 2021.
