Shereen Bhan

Biography

As the Assistant Director for the International Center for Public Policy, Ms. Bhan has played a key role in procuring and overseeing multi-million dollar technical assistance and training projects for a wide variety of clients (International Governments and Donor agencies including, but not limited to USAID, UNDP, ADB,WB) spanning six global regions. During her tenure at the center, ICePP’s sponsored projects portfolio has steadily expanded, helping establish the center’s competitive presence on a global scale. In addition to her management responsibilities , she is also a senior research associate at ICePP and her recent research and grant development activity has been focused on public health and program evaluation initiatives in South Asia with a focus on infectious diseases such as Diarrhea (analyzing the equitable penetration of established treatment protocols in the most needy segments of the population) as well as attitude towards the girl child in South and South East Asia and the resulting impact on access to healthcare, vaccination rates as well as nutritional development. Most recently she has completed primary data collection analysis for a study to develop an exploratory model of factors that promote/curtail use of ORS and zinc for treatment of diarrhea among under-five children living in a resource-poor urban area of Delhi.
